Airport Information

Most visitors fly into San Juan and rent a car and drive over.  The roads are good and the drive to the west coast is easy, and takes about 3 hours.  You may also want to spend a day or night exploring Old San Juan and all it has to offer.  If you prefer to fly, there is easy access to the west coast by flying into Raphael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla (airport code BQN).  If you are traveling via any of the following cities/airports, you can fly directly to our corner of Puerto Rico and spend more time on the beach!

San Juan:
 

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, San Juan Airport (SJU):
It is located 10 miles (16 km) east of Old San Juan, near the Isla Verde resort zone. It is about a 3 hour drive by car. Phone 787-791-3840 or 787-791-1010

Mayaguez:

Eugenio María de Hostos Airport, Mayagüez (MAZ):
Located on the north side of Mayaguez, and south of Rincon.  It is more of a private airport and not served by any larger airlines.  It has limited connecting flights and is about 10 minutes away. Phone 787-388-0148
 

Aguadilla:
 

Rafael Hernández Airport, Aguadilla (BQN):
Located at the north side of Aguadilla at the former Ramey Air Base and hosts the Caribbean's longest runway.  It is about 15 minutes north of Rincon. Phone 787-891-2286

You can also check the best connecting flights from other cities by using Travelocity or other travel site to see if there is convenient connecting service from your city to Aguadilla (airport code BQN) - or to Mayaguez (MAZ) airport.
