I checked and the unit is availability, What do I do next? If you have checked the Availability Calendar and the unit you want is available for the time you wish, fill out a simple Reservation Form or simply pick up the phone and call us at 1-800-875-6399 Are you on the beach? We are located RIGHT ON THE BEACH, unlike other places that are “close to”, or “steps away from the beach”, so it is right outside your door! In fact, there are times when winter storms and waves come and the water hits our seawalls. Because the way the beach runs, this will happen more at Villa 2, less often at Villa 3 and rarely at Villa 1. What is the beach like?
Our beach is considered
a “swimming beach” which is on the south side of Rincon on Playa Corcega.
Playa Corcega is considered one of the best beaches on the West coast. It is
great for taking walks, swimming, or getting a chair and relaxing and watching
the waves. At the water’s edge, there is a smooth flat rock ledge which extends
out into the warm ocean about 30 feet and is about 4 feet deep. This rock ledge
is covered with sand and short "sea moss" and is very comfortable to walk on.
This makes for great swimming. If you enjoy snorkeling, check out the fish that
hang out at the far end of the rock ledge. A short distance away on the north
side of the point is where the surfers go, which is considered the “surf” side.

Caution: We can not
guarantee great weather, calm waters, etc. Weather and storms com Do I need a passport? No, Puerto Rico is part of the U.S. and it is just like traveling to any other state. Just bring your driver's license. Are the stores open on Sundays and Holidays? There are many holidays in Puerto Rico! Some say more holidays are celebrated in Puerto Rico than anywhere else in the world! All government agencies are closed on any holiday, but recent legislation allows businesses to be open. On Sundays many businesses are open from 11AM till 5PM. Get a List of Holidays How far are you from San Juan? We are about 3 hours from San Juan, depending on how fast you drive and what time of day you arrive in San Juan. San Juan is a large city and traffic does get heavy at times, particularly going into San Juan in the morning. Please allow extra time if you are catching a flight from San Juan. Is Puerto Rico "Safe"? For the most part, common sense is all you need to be safe in Puerto Rico. San Juan is like a lot of big cities and when walking at night, try to stay in well-lit, populated areas. Rincon is a small town, and very little major crime occurs in Rincon. Most crime that occurs is “crime of opportunity”. Again, Common sense should be used! Example: Do not leave your car unlocked with an expensive camera inside. We suggest that you lock your doors at night and when you leave. Make sure you do not leave beach chairs on the beach, or anything of value lying around. You are held responsible for any loss or missing items. Just use common sense and do not invite trouble. Do not be alarmed by Police cars driving around with flashing lights on at night. They have them on when they are patrolling the streets at night. Does my cell phone work? Yes, almost all cell phones work, BUT you should contact your cell provider to find out more about their exact coverage on the island. Some cell phones services work better than others Do you offer high speed internet? Yes we do! It is offered at no additional costs or fees! We at first had a wireless system, but since there is so much concrete, the signal strength was not very good, so we offer a simple "plug in" connection. Caution: From time to time internet does go down, but most times it functions fine. Where is the swimming pool? It is a private pool on the rooftop of villa 2 and Villa 3. It is NOW OPEN! It is available only for Sunset Paradise guests only! It does not matter which unit you are staying in. It is a short walk from Villa 1. It is not huge, but is is good size and about 5 feet deep. There is also a Jacuzzi (hot tub/spa) It is Very private, up in the tree tops with GREAT views! Most/Many times you have it all to yourself! There is also a bathroom/changing room and a LARGE covered area, with many lounge chairs. What should I bring? Just about everything is furnished, the most important thing to bring is a good attitude and relax! We try to provide you with a different, more private experience than what you would have by renting a room at some large hotel. Instead of a renting a small room, we offer a completely furnished home with all the amenities! We want you to think of this home as your home, “Mi casa es su casa”, and to experience the casual life style of living on the beach. We have provided you with most supplies, but if you should need more or additional items there are many local stores that will offer anything you need. Also see next question below. What about daily/additional housekeeping? We of course provide clean towels and linens when you move in and you have access to a washer and dryer. If you want additional housekeeping services, please let us know in advance and we will pass your request on to our housekeeping staff. We prefer you work out your exact request and pay direct with them and compensate them directly. The going rate for this type of service is around $10 per hour. What if something breaks or we have questions or problems? We have managers, Holly 787-340-8319 and her husband Alex 787-420-6825 available in case you have any questions or problems during your stay. They live nearby in Rincon. They have been on the island for a long time and can assist in many ways. Do I need to rent a car? Short answer is yes, but you may want to visit our web site page Car Rentals for more information about car rentals. Rincon is a smaller town and getting a taxis is NOT easy. To get to all the places you may want to go, you should have a car. But you should also be aware that parking at the beach is always limited. We do provide one off-street spot for each entire Villa, on a first come, first served basis. In the past, parking on-street in front of the home has not been a problem, but if you are traveling with a group, all efforts should be made to consolidate so you have as few vehicles as possible. What is the ocean like? Is it safe to go in the water? Yes, the water is very safe. I have never heard of any shark attacks. We are on the calm water “swimming” (south) side of Rincon. The water is a warm 82 plus degrees year round. At the water’s edge, there is a smooth rock ledge which extends out about 30 feet and is about 4 feet deep. This makes for great swimming. language What time is check-in and check-out? Check in is anytime after 3 PM and check out is before 10 AM. What is the check-in procedures? When you place a reservation, you will receive all the move-in instructions and directions. In case you lost yours we also have them posted at our Guest Only web page What about early check-in or late check-out? We try to be accommodating, but depending on the season, sometimes it is not possible. Fees are $25 per hour for any extra hours. Late Check out after 3PM is another days rental fee. All time is rounded up to the nearest full hour Can we drink the water? Yes, but most people still (as they do in the US) drink bottled water. We also just added a water purification (R/O) system in Villa 1 and Villa 3. Is there a currency exchange? No, Puerto Rico is part of the U.S. and the currency is the good old U.S. dollar. What if I have to cancel, what is your policy?
Any and all notices of cancellations, for any reason, are to be
made in writing. If/When a notice is received more than 60 days before the
rental date, all When and how much do I need to pay? We like to be flexible on the payment schedule, but we need at least a $200 deposit to reserve a unit for you. We would like 50% of the rental amount, 6 months before the rental date, and 100%, 90 days of the day you are to move-in. Please let us know if you need a different payment schedule. How do I make additional payments? The easiest way to pay is on our secure web site. Click on the link Guests Only and select Make additional Payment it will take you to our secure charge card form. We accept Visa, Master Card, and Discover charge cards. If you wish to pay by check, please make the check payable to: "William Jugenheimer" and mail it to 41315 N Club Pointe Dr , Anthem AZ 85086 I just made my reservation and I can not open the attachments sent with the confirmation email? Do you ever get any attachments from anyone else with your emails? If not, the problem is in the security software settings that you use. You should adjust the settings to allow attachments with your emails. You should also check to make sure you have the latest software installed to read a pdf file. If you are still having problems and not comfortable with computers, we can email them to a friend and he/she can get them to you, or as a final solution ($5 charge), we can also send them by US priority mail. Please note the files are in .PDF format and you will need acrobat reader to view them. Most modern computers already have this software installed. If you do not, you can download a free copy at: Do you share or sell my information with others? No, we do not give or sell any information about you to others without your express permission. Our site uses secure forms in which you give us information about yourself (your name address, credit card information, email address, etc). This information is used only to process a reservation with us. At no time is this information ever shared with anyone else. Also your credit card information, and personal data are encrypted and secured through a link to our server. Your information is encrypted during its trip across the Internet to prohibit viewing by a third party. Are swimsuits required on the beaches? Well, I have never seen anyone get a ticket, but it is customary to keep your tops on. The rooftop swimming pool area is private and might allow you the opportunity to get a more complete tan. Why is Villa 1 and Villa 3 more money than Villa 2? There are many upgrades in Villa 1 and Villa 3 over Villa 2. A few examples are: The towels are larger and thicker, the bed linens have a higher thread count, we offer nicer glassware. Villa 1 also offers local phone service. We also just added a water purification (R/O) system in Villa 1 and Villa 3. The Villas are just a few homes apart, on the same beautiful beach, and both are fully furnished. For a complete listing of what exactly is, and is not included, click on the following link: What is Included How do I get to Rincon? Most visitors fly into San Juan and rent a car and drive over. The roads are good and the drive to the west coast is easy, and takes about 2 hours. You may also want to spend a day or night exploring Old San Juan and all it has to offer. If you prefer to fly, there is easy access to the west coast by flying into Raphael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla (airport code BQN). Also there are a few flights that fly into Eugenio María de Hostos Airport, Mayagüez (MAZ). It is located on the north side of Mayaguez, which is south of Rincon. It is more of a private airport and not served by any larger airlines. MORE AIRPORT INFORMATION Where exactly are you? Overall, we are located at the tip of the west coast of Puerto Rico, in the smaller town of Rincon. Our exact coordinates are Latitude 18.321244 and Longitude -67.243757. This is for villa 1, villa 2 and 3 are just down the street a few homes. You can go to http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html and then under "Show Point from Latitude and Longitude" put those numbers and then click "Show Point". You can scroll in and out and see the entire island of Puerto Rico. We are located on Corcega Beach, just south of the "downtown" central plaza.
