I'll mail
your comment sheet soon, but wanted to say thank-you. We had a wonderful
time and the villa was perfect. I'm sure we'll return and will recommend
it to others.

El Molino
del Quixote: good food, reasonable prices, and a world class setting and
view. El Bambino is also excellent for good, plain, reliable Puerto Rican
food. Their black bean soup was a particular pleasure to us North
Americanos. Our only complaint was the jet skis - on the holiday weekend.
They were ever-present and obnoxious. But, other than that, this house
and this place really is paradise!

Another
excellent trip was an afternoon spent at Boqueron Beach, followed by
dinner at Villa Parguera Parador. Unfortunately, we were not able to take
the boat ride to phosphorescent Bay because of poor weather. Boqueron is
another quiet beach with calm waters. Villa Parguera serves traditional
Puerto Rican food at reasonable prices. The flan was particularly
outstanding. We enjoyed our stay in Rincon and will definitely return.

Finding
Mundillo lace is a challenge, but well worth the effort. While in Moca,
try the empanadillas from a food shack on the other side of the parking
lot. The empanadillas are stuffed with all kinds of seafood - fish,
lobster, crab, octopus, shrimp... delicious and among the best on the
island, according to locals. Carina wanted to see some Mundillo Lace in
Moca(town off rt 2) Great skill and craft. Pretty stuff. Call Maria
Lassalle in Moca @ 877-2011. The fruit stand next to the post office was
terrific ... as well as the pastries by Ursulina Villanuovh(earlier
referred to as Ms Sooly by another guest. Call her @823-2512

The Island
Queen snorkeling boat trip to Desecheo Island (right out the porch --
that’s Desecheo Island!) WAS FABULOUS!!! We saw monkeys on the island,
turtles in the waters, dolphins round the boat and all kind s fabulous
fish, including flying fish. Joyce and Palmer are great captains and are
wonderful people, kind, patient and warm. Even a non-swimmer like me had
a great experience! Call 823-6301 and just do it. We had a great time.
Boqueron is worth an afternoon trip. Nice beach with water activities.
Best restaurant is “Lazy Parrot”. The food and service were top notch.
Lost about 1/2 beach to the waves on 4/12. Left about a 4 four drop off
to the surf but its rebuilding already on 4/13. The Caves (Camuy Caverns)
are a must see for first-time visitors here. Enjoy!!!

Had a good
time again in
Puerto Rico. Had a good time swimming and fishing in front of the house.
Snorkeling with the “Island Queen” was excellent! Snorkeling the “steps”
is also worth the trip. Best restaurant in the area for us was definitely
Sandy Beach Surf Club. Look for the lights on the building at night!..
Lazy Parrot was also good. Coming back soon!

Hello from
Minnesota!!
We had a
great vacation here, came for one week and ended up for two! When we
arrived we had no beach, the waves were crashing onto the steps and
house. They say El Nino. The ocean has started to put back what she took
away! Enjoy the island, the people are wonderful, and we will return.

One of the
best places to spend vacation with family and friends. It has been a
great experience. The beach, the neighborhood - close to every need. The
house is a beautiful and comfortable house. Keep it up in this good
condition. It has been quite an experience vacationing here at Sunset
Paradise. Looking forward to the next vacation.

A great
spot - beautiful sunsets, shady palm tree, gentle surf, good snorkeling
off the beach.

Sunset
Paradise provided for us an enjoyable and peaceful week. The house is
absolutely comfortable. We loved the early morning coffees on the
balcony. During our evening walk on Wednesday, we observed some excited
fishermen cast a fishing net from their colorful boat. They unraveled
their nets against the seashore in a horseshoe shape. In an instant, it
was time to pull the net in, and pandemonium ensued! The pulling of the
net turned into a community effort - the multitude of people appeared from
out of nowhere to help pull the net in. The catch of the day was two
dozen codfish. The walks on the beach in the morning were interesting as
well - be prepared walk in the company of all the neighborhood dogs! The
housekeeper, Ms Lydia recommended local dish, PASTELS, made by Ms Sooly at
823-2512. We tried them twice - they were excellent! It was a great
vacation, one we will remember as we head back to the real world.

An
absolutely splendid place to spend a vacation. Our two-year old really
enjoyed splashing around in the water as did we. What we will remember
best is the profusion of mangos - wonderfully delicious. Best bet among
restaurants for Paella and other Spanish as well as local dished is El
Molino Quijote which is open only on weekends. Hope to return.

Our third
house on the beach and the best yet - a wonderful family reunion with our
family.

It was
definitely a good time to be away from home ... about a bazillion inches
of snow fell there while we enjoyed sun and surf. Notable events of the
week: the kids two doors down the beach sold us notecards they made, the
sun shone, the puppy next door came to visit, the sun shone, went for a
(short but fun) trip in a sea kayak, the moon shone, the door closer fell
off the back door, the sun shone, watched surfers and sent to the maritime
museum at El Faro, sun shone on and on. We enjoyed breakfast at the
Paradise Restaurant and dinners at the Lazy Parrot and the Landing.
